4 Lost Continent (Or Island)

A lost continent is a hypothetical land for whatever reason no longer exists. A prime example is Atlantis, which, according to Greek myth, sank to the seabed. Here is a list of four continents disappear.

1. Mu

When the traveler and writer Augustus Le Plongeon explored Mayan ruins in Yucatan, he claimed to have translated one of the four Maya codices are known. According to the translation, the Maya civilization is much older than the Egyptians and the Greeks, and that the manuscript also told an even older continent: Mu. According to Le Plongeon, Mu lies somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean and, comparable to the Atlantis, had been sunk by a terrible earthquake. Refugees from Egypt Mu will then form while the other will be the Mayans.

Others, a little more "out there" theory presented by James Churchward 1926. He stated that after translating more than two thousand tablets, he has learned that there really is Mu in the Pacific Ocean and home to more than sixty million people while maintaining colonies in other parts of the world. Advanced civilization, perhaps the most advanced of its time. However, some thirteen thousand years ago it was destroyed in one night by underground volcanic activity. He argues that the ancient civilization that we deem thy mother of all refugees because they are all common symbols used for communication. Moreover, he pointed monolithic art and its presence throughout the ancient world as evidence for the claim.

Science, of course, should be rejected because science should be plenty of time downer. We know that the land is large enough (at least enough to house sixty million people) just do not believe it has not stopped people, despite the "sink.". Modern Believers claim that the evidence of Mu can be found from the coast of Yonaguni Island, Japan, where some of the structures can be  found under the water.

2. Lemuria

Lemuria has no basis in clay tablets, but the hypothesis. After realizing that fossil lemurs and related animals can be found in India and Madagascar but elsewhere in South Africa from the Middle East, Philip zooligist Scatler proposed that Madagascar and India had joined with the mainland, in this case a larger continent or land bridge.

Actually, Scatler not the first to propose this. Many zoologists (and keep in mind that talking about the 1700's and 1800 here, which makes nonsense claims only one credential is required to become a zoologist) proposed the exact same thing.

They, however, do not think of cute names to go with it, apparently because they did not   have a solid marketing people. But Scatler popularized the idea and soon the scientific community has a terminal case Lemuriamania. The paper began to theorize that the continent is actually stretching from   the Pacific Ocean to better explain the distribution of different species around the world. Survival book Savage JH Moore went so far as to claim that mankind may have evolved from species that lived in Lemuria, despite the evidence that is now lost to the sea.

However, the core of Lumeria is that he must sink to the bottom of the sea, the science is too happy to call the flats. However, there is something for India-Madagascar relations. The two countries never connected, but India broke away millions of years ago, especially without sinking.

3. Thule

Greek explorer Pytheas is the first person who has written about the land of Thule, an island north of Britain. According to his writings (which only survived in fragments referenced by other historians) that sailed six days and is the furthest north of the islands are known, place it in the Arctic Circle.

By the time most people do not take too seriously the claim that Pytheas, because he has a reputation for stretching the truth just a little. Documents surviving the reference Thule rejects this notion by asserting that Pytheas only confuses some small islands and the British that he was most likely off of his meds.

Unlike our previous entry, there is no doomsday scenario awesome to Thule. These are considered "lost" because if Pytheas actually find an unknown island then it certainly is not there now. However, most modern discussions on the subject found that he may have been referring to Norway, Scandinavian or not Iceland, so he may have been onto something when he was not lying his ass off.

But the Nazis, never freethinkers, believed that Pytheas talking about a country that no longer exists. What's more, it is the original home of the Aryan race, the people who are described as eqsue super-giant with supernatural powers that put modern technology to shame. According to legend, a messiah will come from Thule to create mankind. We're sure you know how the story ends.

Please note the lack of key information related to the Aryan super.

4. Hyperborea

Another entry from the ancient Greeks, the earliest reference we were still living to the land of Hyperborea comes from 450 BC, although reference is made to the work of at least three missing as well. The land was allegedly further north than the others, and home to the Hyperboreans, a race of giant clear with divine blood.

In Hyperborea sun shines twenty-four hours a day and set only once a year. Some texts refer to the day on the continent that lasted one year compared with our standard measurement of time. Adding more to it strange magic giant, Hyperboreans allegedly lived a thousand years of their time. That is, three hundred and sixty five days a year they are on par with the super. This age is ridiculous credited to the perfect society they are free of both the disease and war. People would just hang out all day making music and such.

That is still there from what we know of the mythical person, outside of a legend. One alleged that the army of Atlantis had planned a massive invasion of Hyperborea but withdrew once they realized that they were giants friendly odd. Others claim that the Perseus slayed Medusa in Hyperborea than Libya, which sort of contradicts the perfect thing, but whatever.

The existence of Hyperborea contested throughout antiquity, although there is some evidence to support that it was based on an actual discovery. Twenty-four hours of sunlight can put island somewhere in the Arctic Circle. So Hyperborea considered Siberia or perhaps far-northern reach China. Meanwhile, Robert Charroux has stated that the Hyperboreans were ancient astronauts who chose the coldest regions of our planet to settle in because the climate is better related to their own planet. Think of it what you will
