The lighthouse is a tower building with a light source at the top to help navigate ships. The light source used ranging from lights to lens and (in ancient times) fire.

1. Jeddah Lighthouse 
 
Jeddah Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With a height of about 436 feet (133 m), Jeddah Lighthouse crowned as the world's tallest lighthouse. This lighthouse itself is located on the outer end of the pier at the north entrance of the Port of Jeddah.

Located in Yokohama, Japan, the lighthouse was built as the 100th anniversary of the Port of Yokohama, in 1961. Today, in the lighthouse in the world nomination, Yokohama Tower occupies the second position of the highest in the world with a height of 348 feet.

Phare de Gateville or better known as the Pointe de Barfleur is an active lighthouse located at Gatteville-le-Phare Barfleur, Manche department, Basse-Normandie, France. With a height of 247 feet (75 meters), this lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in the world-3.

This lighthouse is the main lighthouse for the port city of Genoa, Italy. Besides helping to navigate at night for ships, a lighthouse is also used as a symbol of Genoa City, and is one of the oldest buildings in Italy. With a height of about 76 meters, the lighthouse was also crowned as the second tallest lighthouse in the world. 



5. Punta Penna Lighthouse
 
 
Punta Penna Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located in strategically important places in the Via della Madonna Penna, Port of Vasto. With a height of 230 feet (70 meters), this lighthouse was named as the 8th highest lighthouse in the world and the 2nd in Italy after Genoa lighthouse. 



6. Mulan Tou Lighthouse
 
 
Mulan Tou Lighthouse, also known as the Hainan Head Light is a lighthouse located in Hainan Province, China and is the tallest lighthouse in the world and the 5th highest in China with a height of 289 feet (88 meters). Built in 1995, this lighthouse is able to emit two white flashes every 15 seconds. 



7. Basihamen 

 
Baishamen is a lighthouse located in Hainan Province, China and is the tallest lighthouse-6 in the world and the 2nd in China with a height of 236 feet (72 meters). Lighthouse is able to emit white light flashes every 6 seconds.
