How to extend the life of the following may seem strange, but studies have shown that these methods seem to really work. Here are some odd ways to prolong life, as reported by Healthmad, Thursday (26/05/2011):

1. Eat an apple
Research shows that regular consumption of apples can extend life by 10 percent. Researchers noted that eating apples every day for a year can lower total cholesterol by 14 percent and levels of bad cholesterol (LDL or Low Density Lipoprotein) by 23 percent.

A 2006 study found that people who do regular religious practice can live on average three years longer than people who do not run properly religion.

3. Close to mother
